Aviation Career Education Camp 2014
The Louisiana ACE Summer Camp Program will continue for its fourth year in 2014. ACE stands for Aviation Career Education and the week long camp is aimed at High School students between the ages of 15 and 18 who are considering a career in aviation.
In 2013, three ACE Camps were held in Gonzales, Baton Rouge and Natchitoches. The campers and future aviators had a great time and learned a tremendous amount. The camp photo album can be viewed by clicking HERE.
At least three ACE Camps are planned for 2014 following the same format.
- Louisiana Regional Airport – June 9 – 13
- Monroe Regional Airport – June 16 – 20
- Natchitoches Regional Airport – June 23 – 27
- Baton Rouge Metro Airport – July 7 – 11
During the course of the week, participating students will focus on the knowledge needed to pass a Private Pilot Written Exam, while at the same time they will be introduced to a wide variety of aviation career opportunities from commercial pilot to airport management. The camp staff has been selected from an elite group of college students who are also preparing for an Aviation Career.
The content of the material presented will focus on four major components:

- Weather Environment
- The Project
