Prior to starting training, each student will be required to obtain a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman Medical Certificate.
At Guidance Aviation, we require students to obtain a 3rd Class Medical Certificate.
Typically, medical certificates are obtained in the U.S. However, if you do have existing or known medical conditions, we encourage you to obtain your medical certificate prior to traveling to the U.S. to ensure you are medically fit to begin training upon arrival.
Designated FAA Medical Examiners that are authorized to issue U.S. FAA Airman Medical Certificates are located in many countries outside of the United States. Locate one in your country with the FAA’s Find an Aviation Medical Examiner tool
