Helicopter Pilot Grabs EPIC RIDES In Grand Junction’s 2014 Off Road Challenge

Guidance Aviation Team Rider Israel Tilman left the helicopter in the hangar but still managed to grab epic rides and awesome air during the second annual 2014 Grand Junction Off Road endurance mountain bike event, produced by EPIC RIDES, August 29th – 31st. Tilman, a U.S. Military Veteran, is enrolled in the Yavpai College Aviation Technology degree program, helicopters, and is sponsored by Guidance Aviation as a semi-pro mountain biking competitor.

In a field of approximately 300 competitors within the Men’s Open Class, Tilman placed 17th and improved his time by approximately 12 minutes over last year. Way to go Israel!

Tilman has just completed his CFI rating at Guidance Aviation and is now studying for his CFI-I (Certificated Flight Instructor – Instrument), helicopters.  Check out Tilman and the 2014 Grand Junction Off Road Endurance Mountain Bike event in the video below!
